But the rest of it? Seeing everyone baking and making delicious bacon-y treats - it was lovely. This was a leaving party for a friend, and throughout the night there were a lot of don't-go-Lenore moments, tearful hugs, and heartfelt sentiments. And it is my wish, dearest Lenore, that the pain of leaving was temporarily glossed over by the grease of bacon.
Let's have a look at the heart attack inducing creations shall we? Starting with mine...
And Lora championed vegetarian rights by making some tofu bacon (fakeon? facon? faken?) wrapped potatoes with cheese.
The sole picture I have of Patrick's bacon cheesecake brownies (yeah, a real thing, go make!). They were devoured in less than twenty immediately upon his arrival. The only thing that remained the next morning was this small nibbled on piece.
And finally the pièce de résistance... Gerard's 5-6lbs bacon cheeseburger. Complete with 3lbs of beef and an entire pack of bacon. It toppled the vegetarians flat, converted the kosher, and made grown men cry. When it was all said and done, the amount of love flowing through that house was about the same as the amount of bacon grease. Which is a lot if you were confused. I don't think we'll be doing another bacon themed night anytime soon (or ever), but it was one for the books to be sure.
And the next morning? Beer battered bacon and chocolate waffles with a side of bacon for breakfast. I will never be able to stomach another piece of bacon again.

hahahaha i usually go with facon but it could be debated. you really captured the bacon essence in some of your photos!
