I have the worst memory ever. It's why I bring my camera wherever I go. It's why I blog. Without the photos, the words, I live in constant fear that I won't remember.
And I do a lot of things worth remembering.
Like the annual book fair! Which I attended with Mr. Jones.

$1 gets you in, $2 per bag of books. The deal is insane and the picture above only captures a tenth of the selection that was there.
I loved it, but I got incredibly overwhelmed. There were just so. many. books.
I picked up a few classics and a music book from 1896.
I originally picked up the music book to use the pages for scrapbooking and crafting, but now I'm not sure. Someone kept this in perfect condition for over one hundred years. There's a name written in pretty cursive on the inside. I think I've inadvertently inherited the sentiments.

P.S. Sign up for the ATC swap? :)

wow ! I wish i was there
ReplyDeleteJealous I wanna book fair with you!
ReplyDeleteAlso over 100 year old book = awesome find.
Also to kill a mocking bird is suuuuuuuch a good book.

ReplyDeleteWe recently found a book from the late 1800s at Value Village about the English language. I love love love old books like that....
ReplyDeletewhat a great deal! i wish i'd find a book like that!
ReplyDeleteI love book fairs :) But I think we have run out of places to store our books, and may need to purge some soon!
ReplyDeletePS...just saw your comment. I am ADDICTED to ghost shows :p
ReplyDeletePPS...it just occured to me, you should scan that music book! Seriously, I'd love to somehow use the pages in my graphic designs! (hint hint ;)
ReplyDeleteThe title of this post alone drew my attention!! I would love to go to this kind of book fair. But...the last thing my home needs is more books, haha.
ReplyDeleteYou got some wonderful titles! I've read all three of those novels; they are definitely must-read classics! The music book sounds like an interesting find, too. I might be hesitant to deconstruct it, as well...it was obviously much-loved. However, you might be able to give it second life as something wonderful!
Oh wow! So many books! And I completely understand about the music book. I have bought so many lovely old things with the intention of using them in crafty projects, but then not been able to bring myself to cut them!
